Rev. BRUCE CASE
senior pastor
Rev. Case is a native of Brookhaven and received his masters degree from Duke Divinity School . He has served in ministry for over twenty years in churches in Meridian, Madison, Hattiesburg, and Wasilla, Alaska. He and his wife Jen have two adult children – Tripp, a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi, and Susannah, a student at Mississippi State University. We welcome the Cases and look forward in Christian love toward the next phase of God’s plan for St. Luke’s.

Ms. Helen Bowen
Director of Music Ministries
Helen, a graduate of Belhaven University with a triple major in Piano and Vocal Performance and Education, joined St. Luke's in 1980, and has provided leadership for our music ministries since 1987. She is married to Alan Bowen, also a member, and has two grown boys, both of whom grew up at St. Luke's and are still members. Her skill and passion for worship are the driving force behind our outstanding Adult Choir, which moves us all with its praises in music. She also directs our three Children's Choirs, which are continuing to grow. We are grateful for the many hours Helen devotes to her work at St. Luke's.

Ms. Laurie Courtney
OFFICE/COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
Laurie is a Jackson native and along with her husband, Max, has been a St. Luke’s member since 1987. They have three daughters who grew up at St. Luke’s, one of whom taught at the church preschool for 10 years. Four of their 5 grandchildren are growing up at St. Luke’s and in the preschool as well. Laurie loves spending time with her family and friends and feels blessed to work surrounded by her St. Luke’s family.

Ms. Fran mcewen

In her role Fran often provides the first impression visitors have of our church, giving them a warm, friendly welcome. St. Luke's counts itself lucky to have such a dedicated, cheerful worker as Fran, who can always be counted on for whatever assistance is needed.

Ms. Angela Powell
pianist
Angela Powell, a Jackson, MS native, has been a part of the St. Luke's family as our pianist since 2015, and became a member in July of 2017. She graduated from Millsaps College with a B.A. in Music, with concentrations in Piano Performance and Music Theory. Also, earning a minor in education, she is currently serving as the high school music teacher and Choral Director at Canton High School in Canton, MS. She accompanies for other schools and choirs in the community whenever she is able to help. Angela is an accomplished pianist and we are blessed with her beautiful music each Sunday.

Dr. Ben Williams
Organist
Benjamin Williams is a composer and an Associate Professor of Music Theory and Composition at Mississippi College. Raised in Northeast Ohio, Williams earned degrees in Music Composition from The University of Akron (B.M and M.M.) and The Ohio State University (D.M.A.). He also performs locally with the jazz ensemble Brick Street Trio and New JXN, a group dedicated to modern classical music performed with local musicians. After playing for our Christmas Cantatas from 2016-2018 as guest organist, he became our official organist in early 2019, as well as a member of our Sanctuary Choir. His skill and musicianship on our Reuter pipe organ is a blessing that enriches our worship services.
