Position Overview
Nursery Workers help provide a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for infants and toddlers, ages 0–3, during Sunday worship services and special church events. This role is an important part of helping families feel comfortable and supported while their children are in our care.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care for infants and toddlers
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery environment
- Interact positively with children with a variety of personalities and needs
- Respond appropriately to children’s basic needs while they are in your care
- Follow all church safety and childcare policies
Qualifications
- Experience caring for children ages 0–5
- Ability to interact positively and patiently with a variety of children and personalities
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Completion of Safe Sanctuaries training provided by church
- Completion of background check provided by church
- Current immunization documentation (Form 121), as required by the state
- Ability to safely lift 15–20 pounds
- Current infant and child CPR certification or able to complete online certification prior to hire
- Three satisfactory references
